How the file is handled.
Simple rules for records, corrections, deadlines, access, and handoff.
Records
Materials are organized by source, date, type, and relevance. Originals and later copies stay distinguishable when that matters.
Sources
Official sources and direct source material are preferred when available. Claims are kept tied to the person, account, document, or source that actually made them.
Corrections
If something is shown to be wrong or materially incomplete, the working record is corrected rather than defended for appearance.
Deadlines
Known deadlines can be tracked as part of case administration. Filing, service, court, platform, and agency deadlines remain the client's responsibility unless a specific responsibility is accepted in writing.
Client access
Portal access is limited to approved account holders and may change with the matter.
Attorney handoff
When counsel is involved, the goal is a concise summary, timeline, document index, open questions, and source material.
